Psilocybin can be a powerful tool for personal change, but the experience is unpredictable — and without adequate preparation and support, it can be overwhelming or even harmful. A single difficult moment during a session doesn't have to become a setback, but it does need to be handled with skill and care.

Working with a licensed clinical facilitator helps you prepare for what may arise, navigate the experience safely, and make lasting meaning from it afterward.

What People Are Saying

As someone who has been on a journey of self-discovery and healing, Anne has been invaluable in helping me better manage my emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. She has made me feel safe, heard, understood, and accepted without judgment no matter what subject I broach.

— Client in Denver, CO

“I have inevitably “swiped left” on so many therapists who were not the right fit with me. “Swiping right” on Anne was one of my best decisions; she was a match from the start. She is easy to connect with and has given me validation in regard to feelings that I have questioned myself about while offering me insight on different ways to view and reconcile some of my life-long struggles. I’m a work in progress, but Anne continues to help me make steps forward.”

Her approach - professionalism with integrity - embraces a holistic view, making space for all the messiness that comes with being human.

I work with adults navigating major life transitions — empty nests, retirement, career shifts, aging, and loss. Many of my clients have little or no experience with psychedelics and are looking for a safe, supported, evidence-based introduction to this work. Whether you're questioning your sense of purpose, adjusting to a new chapter, or simply feeling stuck, psilocybin facilitation can help you find clarity and move forward with intention.

Who can I help?

I am licensed by the state of Colorado to provide natural medicine services through the regulated psilocybin program. Each course of facilitation includes two preparation sessions, a medicine administration session at a licensed healing center, and two integration sessions. I completed my facilitator training through Fluence and receive ongoing consultation with Kayli Howard at Numia Healing Center in Colorado. All administration sessions will take place at Numia Healing in Denver, Colorado.

I hold active clinical licenses in New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, California, and Virginia. I do not provide natural medicine services outside of the state of Colorado.

What do I offer?

Psilocybin, the active compound in certain mushrooms, works on multiple levels — both physiological and experiential. At the physiological level, psilocybin promotes neuroplasticity by increasing connectivity between brain regions that don't typically communicate, allowing the brain to form new patterns of thought and break free from rigid, habitual loops associated with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Research suggests that psilocybin temporarily quiets the default mode network — the part of the brain responsible for our sense of self, rumination, and repetitive thinking.

The experiential component is equally significant. At therapeutic doses, psilocybin can shift perception in ways that allow us to see ourselves, our relationships, and our lives from a fundamentally different vantage point. In this expanded state, psychological defenses soften and the mind often surfaces what most needs attention — through imagery, emotion, memory, or direct insight.

This combination of biological and experiential change is what makes psilocybin-assisted therapy particularly promising. Difficult material can emerge and be processed without the overwhelm that often accompanies trauma work in traditional talk therapy, while the neuroplasticity window that follows a session creates an opportunity to establish new ways of thinking and being. Preparation and integration sessions are essential to making the most of this window.

How does natural medicine work?

Psilocybin is not a cure on its own — it is a tool that can facilitate and accelerate meaningful psychological change. Research consistently shows that combining a psychedelic medicine with skilled therapeutic support produces better outcomes than either alone. The medicine opens a door; the work of preparation and integration is what makes the change last.

Some approaches to psychedelic therapy focus primarily on the pharmacological effects — what the substance does to the brain. But this overlooks one of the most valuable aspects of psilocybin: the window of heightened neuroplasticity it creates. Working with a clinical facilitator means having someone trained to help you make use of that window — not just during the medicine session itself, but in the preparation that sets your intention and the integration that translates the experience into your daily life.

Facilitation is, at its core, a therapeutic relationship. A skilled facilitator helps you develop the internal resources to navigate what arises during a psilocybin session, process difficult material safely, and build new patterns of thinking and relating that outlast the acute effects of the medicine. The experience may be profound, but without intentional preparation and integration, its impact often fades.

In short: the medicine alone is not enough. With the guidance of a trained facilitator, the work becomes more manageable, and lasting change is more likely to take hold.

Why work with a clinical facilitator?

Psilocybin remains a Schedule I substance under federal law, but Colorado voters passed Proposition 122 in November 2022, creating a regulated framework for the therapeutic use of natural medicines including psilocybin. The state now licenses facilitators, healing centers, and the cultivation and testing of psilocybin products, much as it did with cannabis a decade earlier.

This is not the same as recreational legalization. Colorado's program is structured around supervised, therapeutic use. Sessions take place at licensed healing centers with trained, state-licensed facilitators. There are no dispensaries and no take-home products. Every step — from screening to preparation to administration to integration — is designed to prioritize safety and therapeutic benefit.

I am licensed by the state of Colorado as a natural medicine facilitator and provide services exclusively within this regulated system.

Isn't This Illegal?

 FAQs

  • I am here to help. You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation and I can tell you a bit more about psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and we can start to design an approach that will make sense for you.

  • Great! I am only licensed to provide psilocybin / natural medicine services in Colorado. I work with Numia, a licensed healing center in Denver, to provide natural medicine services within Colorado’s state regulated access program.

  • I do not take insurance or offer out-of-network benefits for clinical facilitation services. Integration services can be submitted as out-of-network treatment if you choose to work with me beyond the scope of natural medicine facilitation.

  • This protocol involves two preparation sessions that can be provided via telehealth, an administration session in person in Denver and two integration sessions that can also be delivered online.

  • $2800 which includes two preparation sessions, an administration session at a healing center in Denver and two integration sessions. The cost of the medicine is paid separately to the healing center in cash and generally runs around $200.

  • Yes, for now.

  • Psychedelics are not a magical cure, but rather a tool that can facilitate and hasten the changes achieved through psychotherapy.

Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) is precisely what it sounds like: a form of psychotherapy that is assisted and expedited by the use of psychedelics. PAP harnesses the power of enhanced neuroplasticity to not only facilitate physiological healing but, more importantly, to help patients develop a healthy relationship with their internal and external world. By serving as a catalyst that accelerates the psychotherapeutic process, psychedelics enable people to take full advantage of enhanced neuroplasticity and achieve optimal results.

In short: medication alone is insufficient; the effort of therapy is essential. With the guidance of a therapist, the work becomes more manageable, and lasting results are often attained more quickly (and cheaply!) with the appropriate use of psychedelics and psychotherapy.

If you are considering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, here's what you can expect when working with me:

I'll start by conducting a screening process to determine if you're a good candidate for ketamine-assisted therapy. This will involve a mental health evaluation and a review of your medical history to ensure your safety and well-being.

During your therapy session, I will provide a controlled and safe environment, such as my therapist's office or clinic, where you will be closely monitored throughout the session. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire process.

You will administer the ketamine through a sublingual lozenge or nasal spray. The dosage will be carefully calibrated based on your weight and other factors to ensure a safe and effective experience.

As the drug takes effect, you may experience an altered state of consciousness, such as a detachment from your body or an altered perception of time and space. This can facilitate deep emotional exploration and introspection, allowing you to work through difficult emotions or past traumas in a constructive way.

After your therapy session, I'll help you integrate the experience into your ongoing therapy and reflect on any insights gained. We'll schedule follow-up sessions to ensure your continued progress and well-being.

It's important to keep in mind that ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not a one-time cure for mental health issues. It's a process, and results may vary. As a trained and licensed therapist, I will guide you through the process to help you achieve the best possible outcomes.
